About Us

Mama Bears Fighting Childhood Cancer (MBFCC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers a uniquely supportive community for parents and caregivers of children diagnosed with cancer.

MBFCC was founded by five moms, all with a child diagnosed with cancer. We recognized there was a need for parent support during our child’s cancer treatment journey. We decided to ensure parents received the support we all found in each other. MBFCC provides support to families with a child diagnosed with cancer between birth and up to 21 years old who are currently undergoing treatment for childhood cancer.

We provide families whose child has an active cancer diagnosis with a Hospital Survival Wagon or Clinic Cart based on the family's needs filled with essential items to live more comfortably in the hospital or during long outpatient clinic visits.

We offer a uniquely supportive community for parents and caregivers with a child diagnosed with cancer. We provide a safe and private chat community in English and Spanish for parents and caregivers to support each other day and night through the ups and downs of treatment. We also have an ''Angel'' support group for parents in our community whose child becomes an angel too soon. The private chat communities are confidential spaces where parents can share and support each other through the good, the bad, the ugly, and so much more.

Our goal is to ensure that no parent walks this journey alone, and our motto is, “Carry your family, We’ll carry you!”

We serve eight Northern California Children’s Hospitals.
