About Us

Mango Materials is a biomanufacturing company specializing in the transformation of waste into biodegradable materials. Inspired by nature, we employ a biological fermentation process to deliver low-carbon solutions for clients seeking sustainable alternatives to conventional plastics. These materials are used as a plastic alternative in toys, packaging, textiles, and consumer products.

Our operations are strategically situated at the Easterly Wastewater Treatment Plant, where we leverage methane gas—a waste by-product—as feedstock to produce polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA), a plastic substitute. PHA offers a sustainable replacement for petroleum-based and polluting plastics.

Recently, Mango Materials introduced its first direct-to-consumer offering, the YOPP® sandbox toy set. YOPP®, which stands for “You Omit Polluting Plastics,” is a versatile material with applications across numerous product categories. Additional information is available at www.madewithyopp.com.
