Written and choreographed by Artistic Director Cassandra Kamakeeaina\, Nightmare Before Nutcracker is an original ballet inspired by Tim Burton&rsquo\;s beloved 1993 cult classic\, The Nightmare Before Christmas. This bold production invites audiences into the hauntingly beautiful Land of Nightmares\, where the Queen of Nightmares tires of her gloomy kingdom and sets out in search of something more. Her journey leads her to the Land of Sweet Dreams\, where candy confections come alive in dazzling\, Nutcracker-style dances. But when she returns to her dark domain\, the Queen realizes her kingdom has been missing one essential ingredient&mdash\;Christmas cheer.
\n\nThis October\, experience the magic as two worlds collide in a fusion of sugar and shadows. Nightmare Before Nutcracker is a must-see event that reimagines holiday classic with a delightfully spooky twist.
\n\nFirst choreographed and staged by Artistic Director Cassandra Kamakeeaina in December 2013\, Nightmare Before Nutcracker offers a whimsical yet thrilling twist on a holiday classic. This one-of-a-kind ballet is set to the scores of both Burton&rsquo\;s The Nightmare Before Christmas and Tchaikovsky&rsquo\;s Nutcracker.
\n\nFor more than a decade\, the Royal School of Ballet has proudly served local youth from its home on Vacaville&rsquo\;s historic Main Street. Dedicated to excellence\, the school challenges young dancers not only to refine their technique but also to cultivate discipline\, artistry\, and high personal standards.
\n\nBallet students are given the rare opportunity to practice true professionalism from an early age. Nowhere is this more evident than in live performance\, where dancers must demonstrate the physical demands of ballet while captivating audiences through storytelling expressed entirely through movement.
